Window and Mirror lesson

 Window and Mirror Teaching Lesson

If I were teaching a lesson about favorite hobbies I think it would help the students open up. Each student would get to share their hobby and also get to learn about their classmates hobbies. This lets them use the "mirror" effect being that other kids also have the same hobbies like they do, and they will also see what others do for hobbies and that would act as the "windows". If they see that their classmates are interested in other hobbies, they too may pick up that hobby to see if they like it. This allows the students to see themself, but also see others and what they enjoy doing.

  1. Curriculum as a mirror and as a window from the textbook (page 81) window (worlds of cultures, people, and realities) and mirror (student's own reality and connected to their lives).
